Program Manager - Norfolk, VA

SSI is seeking aProgram Managerto join our team in Norfolk, VA. The successful candidate will work across all disciplines supporting ordnance and logistics programs. The anticipated contract.

Responsibilities:

• Provides engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the logistics engineering discipline
• Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts
• Performs risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques
• Execute effective communication channels with the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO), Contract Specialist, and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)
• Conduct biweekly contract status meetings covering contract execution, identified performance risks and issues, and the contractor’s mitigation/corrective actions
  
  

Required Education:

• MA/MS degree or BA/BS 2 extra years
  
  

Required Experience:

• Must have ten (10) years of relevant experience demonstrating the management of a technical program in support of Weapon System sustainment and/or development
• Three (3) years of program/project management experience involving the management of development programs and/or the production of technical documentation and training materials
• The program/project management experience may run concurrently with the ten (10) years of Weapon System sustainment and/or development management
• Must exhibit expert level commination skills as this role involves communicating to senior levels of leadership, internal and external to SSI
• Must be able to assess, apply, and recommend improvements to established business processes; and can balance priorities to work effectively in the fast-paced program office environment
• Must be a self-starter and be able to lead meetings
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required
