Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structures Technician to join our team specializing in business jet maintenance, repair, and modification. This role involves inspecting, fabricating, repairing, and installing structural components to ensure the safety, reliability, and aesthetic standards of high-performance private aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft structures, including fuselage, wings, empennage, and flight control surfaces.
- Fabricate, fit, and install structural components using approved engineering drawings, technical manuals, and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct sheet metal and composite repairs, including riveting, bonding, and reinforcing.
- Evaluate and repair damage caused by wear, corrosion, or accidents to restore structural integrity and ensure airworthiness.
- Use precision tools and equipment, such as rivet guns, shears, grinders, and composite repair kits, to perform repairs and modifications.
- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) as required to assess structural conditions and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, and other technicians to troubleshoot structural issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and company policies.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe operations and high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Aircraft Maintenance or Structures is preferred.
- A&P license or equivalent certification is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of [2-5] years of experience working on aircraft structures, preferably with private or business jets.
- Proficiency in working with sheet metal and composite materials.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and structural repair guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
