What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Supervisor position at Syr Comm Health Cntr?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision and training of the security team. Maintains a safe and secure environment for all employees, patients, visitors and physical properties according to policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
NYS certification as Security Guard required. Experience with coaching and counseling employees as well as training employees in the security field. Associated Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. High School Diploma or equivalent with prior experience will be considered. Minimum of two years security supervisory experience highly desirable. Valid New York State Driver’s License. Must have Basic Life Support at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire. Experience with 2-way radio communications preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ambulatory – 95% Sedentary- 5%. Subject to stress and fatigue. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye hand coordination when working with equipment. Subject to repeated bending, squatting and stooping and lifting up to 80lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
