S³ Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior Business Developer to support our SETA Programs. This position is located at our corporate HQ in Research Park, Huntsville, AL.
Description:
The Sr. Business Developer is responsible and accountable for assigned new business target identification, capture strategy, team creation, assessment of POM, achievement of POW, proposal execution and compliance to schedule, pricing BOE, debrief, and lessons learned briefing to corporate leadership.
S³ is a prime and subcontractor on multiple contracts servicing the missiles and space community. This position services these contract vehicles as a minimum and is responsible for adding additional contract vehicles. Customers include AVMC, MDA, PEO Missiles & Space, RCCTO, SMDC, and NASA.
Responsibilities:
· Briefs leadership on the business opportunity at the appropriate monthly bid board meeting.
· Generates the B&P estimate, conducts team proposal kickoff, and functions as capture manager, proposal manager, and may transition to program manager.
· Assesses the effectiveness of the corporate proposal process and recommends improvement to the process based on lessons learned.
· Assesses and advises opportunities with the SVP of the Defense Acquisition Business Unit for the development of strategic planning, tactical planning, and color team proposal reviews.
· Maintains the waterfall addressing compliance.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree and 25 years of experience with DoD contract operations and 15 years of experience with RSA missiles and space customers.
· At least 20 years of experience as a DoD technical service business Capture Manager, working approval of gate reviews through a formal lifecycle model for business capture.
· Must have captured a contract value win in the last three years of greater than $100M.
· At least 10 years’ experience overseeing proposal management and development to ensure the critical strategic messages and embodied in the proposal and that the win strategy is evident in the final product to maximize probability of win for industry.
· Prefer experience working on a corporate staff, reporting to C-suite, and have developed business strategies for a company in technical services or the defense industry.
· Experience developing DoD project pricing estimates and delivering in a pricing volume response to a Government RFP is a plus.
