Currently we have an opening for a Warehouse Lead

This position will lead and participate in production to accomplish daily tasks and ensure production schedules and needs are being met. This position is a non-exempt hourly position and will report directly to the Production Manager.

Position Summary
This position will responsible for supervising of all material handlers, within their assigned team, and carrying out directive given to his team. The person filling this position must be adaptable to ever changing business environments and departmental need changes as well as inter departmental, general business and customer communication and confidentiality. This position is a non-exempt hourly position and will report directly to the Shipping Supervisor.

Position Goals

• Maintain a 98% accuracy rate (2% error rate)
• Maintain a 3 in housekeeping
• Meet all customer requirements with regard to labels, skid size and skid type
• Pick and pack all orders on the ship date on the order.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ensure all orders are pick and packed with correct quantities on the pick ticket
• Ensure all orders after pick and packed is placed in the correct location
• Ensure the Pick tickets is signed by the picker and packer
• Load the correct order on the correct carrier
• Able to operate a fork lift and cherry picker
• Participate in bin audits
• Locate missing material if needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and warehouse
• Perform other tasks as needed
• Manage the work flow
• Manage Team Members to fully utilize time management
• Evaluate manning requirements and ensure Team Members are adequately trained, motivated and accountable for their performance.
• Support efforts to improve safety and housekeeping to reduce the incident rate.
• Coaches and develops Team Members to achieve performance standards with regards to safety, line efficiency and quality
• Effectively communicate with operations, support groups and management.
• Monitor Team Member performance including action plans for non-performers and rewards for those with superior performance.
• Oversee distribution operations within the facility and communicate any challenges to Operations Manager
• Identify and recommend solutions to inventory issues.
• Ensure all customer orders are shipped in accordance with appropriate standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate customer needs.
• Coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics

Other (Non-Essential) Functions

• Control Costs by proactively controlling expenses and elimination of waste
• Contribute to a team effort by proactively assisting internal contacts
• Attend training programs to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
• All other duties assigned.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of warehousing experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to perform basic Mathematical skills add, subtract, multiply and divide
• Able to lift 70 pounds
• Must comply with all safety regulations.
• Computer efficient in Microsoft
• Self-motivated
