Chief Financial Officer
Our client is a Federally Qualified Health Center, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. They are a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home, a model of safe and quality primary care that is affordable and accessible. Position Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) oversees the financial management and operations of the Health Center. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient accounting practices, preparing financial statements, regulatory reporting, and overseeing budgeting and financial planning. The CFO also manages grants and contracts, enhances operational efficiency through technology, and supervises the fiscal office staff.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive and systematic financial records for the Health Center.
- Ensure accurate recording of all transactions in appropriate journals, including requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, payroll records, and payment vouchers.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements, verifying balances and recording cash receipts summaries.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, including budgetary analysis and management reports for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
- Forecast revenue and expenditure trends.
- Prepare financial reports for grant awarding agencies and funding sources as required.
- Oversee business office functions such as registration, cash management, Medicaid and Medicare billing, and prepare necessary statistical reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulations governing disbursement of Grant Funds and maintain federal cost accounting standards.
- Supervise the fiscal office staff, including performance monitoring, evaluations, and training programs.
- Attend Board meetings and present financial updates as requested by the CEO.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary, with appropriate job description updates for permanent responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business; a graduate degree is preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of experience, ideally in the healthcare industry.
- MUST have current healthcare/FQHC experience
Salary: $250,000.00-$250,000.00
