Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership and direction for the Hematology/Oncology division.
- Oversee and expand clinical programs, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance patient access, experience, and outcomes.
- Foster a culture of excellence in education by mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Advance clinical research initiatives and promote participation in clinical trials.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including radiation oncology, surgery, pathology, and palliative care.
- Strengthen partnerships with community organizations and cancer networks to improve outreach and early detection efforts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing faculty and clinical staff.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
- Eligibility for or possession of an active New York State medical license.
- A minimum of 5 (five) years of leadership experience in an academic or hospital-based Hematology/Oncology program.
- Strong record of clinical excellence, research engagement, and educational contributions.
- Experience leading and developing clinical programs with a focus on innovation and patient-centered care.
- Ability to foster collaboration across departments and disciplines.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
