Our client, an independent teaching hospital at the forefront of innovative medicine, is hiring a Chief of Hematology/Oncology to lead an expanding oncology program. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, oversee clinical operations, drive research initiatives, and enhance education and fellowship training. Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and direction for the Hematology/Oncology division.
• Oversee and expand clinical programs, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance patient access, experience, and outcomes.
• Foster a culture of excellence in education by mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Advance clinical research initiatives and promote participation in clinical trials.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including radiation oncology, surgery, pathology, and palliative care.
• Strengthen partnerships with community organizations and cancer networks to improve outreach and early detection efforts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing faculty and clinical staff.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
• Eligibility for or possession of an active New York State medical license.
• A minimum of 5 (five) years of leadership experience in an academic or hospital-based Hematology/Oncology program.
• Strong record of clinical excellence, research engagement, and educational contributions.
• Experience leading and developing clinical programs with a focus on innovation and patient-centered care.
• Ability to foster collaboration across departments and disciplines.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
