SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday (8 hour day plus 1 hour for lunch break)
Responsible for monitoring multi-technology computing platforms including midrange platforms, mainframes and/or servers. Responsible for ensuring a stable operating environment and attaining maximum utilization of system facilities. Operates and monitors console systems and peripheral equipment such as printers, disk drives and tape readers. Troubleshoots and restores routine technical service and peripheral equipment, schedules production runs, performs system backup process, disaster recovery tests, loads tapes, disks and paper as needed. Assists programmers and systems analysts in running jobs that are used for testing and debugging new programs. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

This includes ownership of the data entered into the Helpdesk system and appropriately updating both client and appropriate employees of status of all issues on a timely basis.
- Good customer skills, be attentive to detail, and responsive to customer tickets.
- Operates production inserters, and general office equipment such as copiers or printers.
- Performs high speed, high volume production tasks such as printing & inserting.
- Sets up equipment, loads materials, clears jams, and other simple malfunctions, and unloads product from equipment.
- Maintains productivity on all systems and delivers a quality product while meeting all production deadlines.
- Identifies and resolves clearly defined problems.
- Completes and maintains reports and logs.
- Reconciles incoming and completed work.
- Communicates all issues, concerns or questions to the Computer Operations Supervisor, or other computer operations staff.
- Lift up to 50 pound containers of paper, envelopes, or other materials.
- Operates pallet jack.
- Move mail trays from the inserter area to a mail cart or to a pallet (bending and lowering to the floor).
- Tidy up the work area before and after every shift, and inspecting machine for any jams or debris.
- Unload, move, and store a variety of materials, parts and products.
- Store and stack materials according to company standards.
- Verify/identify parts and/or materials; report shortages or damaged materials
- Work is generally repetitive and subject to inspection.
- ABILITY TO MULTITASK AND CHANGE DIRECTION FLUIDLY.
- DIRECT EXPERIENCE WITH HIGH VOLUME MAIL INSERTERS.
- ABILITY TO STAND FOR LONG HOURS, BEND AND STRETCH.
- ABILITY TO LOGICALLY RESOLVE PAPER OR ENVELOPE JAMS, AND FOLLOW PROCEDURES.
- ABILITY TO LIFT 50 POUND BOXES OF PAPER & ENVELOPES MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY.
- QUADIENT MAIL INSERTER EXPERIENCE.
- RICOH PRO 8300 PRINTER EXPERIENCE.
- EFFICIENCY IN MICROSOFT EXCEL.
- A high school diploma and basic knowledge of high-volume printing and inserting operations, and basic computer skills.
- 1-2 years of computer operations, manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
