INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER

Job Description:

INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER POSITION:

Industrial engineer supporting the stand-up of in-house distribution of materials produced in a new production and warehouse facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize material flow through new facility, inclusive of end-to-end flow of material through receiving, assembly, and customer order fulfillment
• Design efficient facility layout for in-house distribution and manufacturing
• Support automation projects for pick, pack, label, and ship processes
• Complete time studies, labor requirement calculations, and savings estimates to measure impact of process and layout changes
• Execute for operational readiness including 5S, material flow, and safety and quality requirements
• Apply project management skills (scope, schedule, cost) and collaboration with cross-functional partners to execute projects in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Other duties as necessary
  
  

Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:

Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

Qualifications

Engineering degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Biomedical, or comparative field.

Minimum 1-year Professional Experience (distribution Setting Preferred)

Proficiency in various layout design and development software tools and programs, such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, and Microsoft Products Suite.

Experience and/or exposure to automation

Must be solutions-oriented

• Prefer someone with experience in a Distribution setting.
• Prefer someone with experience in any automation setting.
