Full-Time & Part-Time Night Nurse for Gallus Medical Detox Center in Scottsdale

At Gallus Medical Detox Centers, our mission is to provide the highest quality inpatient medical detox services and to be the best first step in overcoming substance use disorders.  We have created an unparalleled standard of care in the industry, and we are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Scottsdale location who can meet that standard and deliver the finest possible care.  

Primary Responsibilities Include:

·        Render and supervise care for Gallus detox patients

·        Determine and implement specific detox protocols as designated by the physician

·        Assist in evaluating patient’s condition and progress with other team members

·        Observe and assess patients for clinical signs and symptoms following prescribed course of treatment

·        Implement nursing care and medical interventions based on observed signs and symptoms

·        Record and report all information related to the patient’s mental and physical condition

·        Assign duties and supervise treatment by CNA staff

·        Report to Nursing Director all situations which require administrative intervention, including incident reports

·        Participate in quality management and staff meetings

Requirements

Successful Candidates Must Have:

·        Current AZ RN license in good standing

·        Current CPR and ACLS certifications

·        Minimum of 4-years full-time professional experience in ICU/CCU, step-down/telemetry, or ER setting

·        Knowledge of detoxification regimens in substance abuse

·        Knowledge of and background in behavioral health, specifically substance abuse, preferred

·        Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation methods to deal with/prevent disruptive patient behavior

·        Proficient in medical record documentation

·        Knowledge of basic techniques & methods to ground clients struggling with anxiety in a mental health or substance abuse setting

·        Ability to treat patients with dignity and empathy in challenging situations

·        Strong desire to be part of a team dedicated to providing patients with exceptional therapeutic care
