Production Maintenance Technician

Food for Thought is seeking a skilled Production Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team and provide daily support on our production line. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of our production line and the high quality of our products. Ideal candidates will possess a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain food manufacturing equipment properly by ensuring quality and production standards are met while following safety guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct regular maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
• Responds effectively to equipment breakdowns and is proactive in the correction and modification of re-occurring machine processing faults.
• Ensure accurate production records and logs are maintained, documenting all relevant production activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and quality control measures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in related field preferred.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with the tools and equipment typically used in manufacturing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
