About Camp Tanager
Established in 1926, Camp Tanager provides day and overnight camp programs to over 1,000 campers each summer. Campers from all backgrounds are welcome to attend our programs designed for fun, fitness, friendship and learning. Camp Tanager was voted Coolest Camp in Iowa in 2016 by The Philadelphia Inquirer for our unique and expansive program offerings.

Job Details
The Environmental Educator will pPlan, develop, coordinate and present an environmental education and interpretive program in cooperation with the Camp Tanager summer camp program, children ages 7-12. This individual will develop related written, audio visual and display materials to supplement the program.
Qualifications
Acceptable Experience/Training/Education:
- Must have some knowledge of Iowa's flora and fauna, conservation principles and practices, ability to express oneself clearly
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in environmental education, natural resources, outdoor recreation or a related natural science
- At least two (2) years' experience with camp programs for children
- At least one (1) year demonstrated leadership role
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
