Inside Sales Associate - Energy Practice

Objective:

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and driven professional to drive sales for the largest program in Tangram's portfolio, its Energy Practice. The Inside Sales Associate will help drive sales through assisting in the management of the existing broker network, acquisition of new brokers resulting in deal flow, marketing support and other activities related to the front-line generation of business opportunities. This role will work with our business development team and cross functionally with our underwriting and operations teams. This individual will have clear objectives and should be attracted to a fast-paced, metric driven sales culture.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Learn to articulate Tangram’s overall vision, business and programs
  • Drive submissions through outbound calls, emails and inbound lead follow-up
  • Accountable for driving individual goals as outlined, including activity metrics
  • Increase penetration with existing brokers and generate submissions
  • Research potential broker partners, identify key contacts/decision makers, initiate calls, and generate interest
  • Assemble key reports/metrics on broker performance on periodic basis
  • Document and track all activities in our CRM system
  • Understand broker needs and requirements
  • Route qualified opportunities to Energy Practice Lead when necessary
  • Help with pipeline activities (as requested) such as follow ups for quotes, needed info, etc.
  • Gain a deep understanding of territory opportunities and challenges
  • Attend all appropriate meetings to gain exposure to the team, clients and partners
  • Learn to articulate our program features and services
  • Maintain and expand our database of prospects within an assigned territory 
  • Attend sales training and be open and responsive to sales coaching
  • Communicate our brand identity and represent us through professionalism and Tangram core values
  • Special projects as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • 3 years of proven inside sales experience
  • Downstream energy a plus but not required
  • High school graduate/GED required. College degree or acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Track record of over-achieving individual metrics and goals
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Personal initiative to work independently
  • Proficient in MS Office. 

 

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000, with opportunity for bonus incentive. The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
