Tantus Technologies is Hiring a Remote Technical Writer
Overview
Tantus Technologies, Inc. - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking qualified Technical Writer to support a federal customer. Qualified candidates must have experience in development and management of a range of technical documents, that can be read by both technical and non-technical personnel. Work experience includes the design, creation, maintenance and revision of many types of technical documentation, SOPs, templates, other artifact creation, and storage and management of all artifacts. The Technical Writer must have demonstrated experience in working closely with developers, Subject Matter Experts (SME), and customers. Experience in a security setting is preferred but not required.
What You'll Do
- Candidate will be working with and supporting the project team as the only Technical Writer. Looking for a dependable, reliable, independent worker with excellent time management skills
- Candidate will be working remote with the client and interacting with developers and functional/technical personnel as well as Federal managers
- To provide technical writing/document management support managing a variety of technical documents, such as SOPs, templates, other artifact creation capable of being read by both technical and non-technical staff
- Work with team members, technical subject matter experts, and federal stakeholders to ensure technical documentation meets all requirements
- Communicate and report on issues to the Tantus PM
- Assist with meeting agendas, minutes and storage of artifacts
- Compile Weekly Status reports for completion of activities
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, or IT related field
- 3-5 years of Technical Writing experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft Word and other documentation applications
- Public Trust security clearable
Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required
Nice to Haves
Preference for Technical Writers w/experience within the Cyber Security/Risk Management Framework
