Description:
Oracle Financials and Projects Analyst will collaborate and interact with the Accounting, Finance and construction departments to ensure efficient delivery of finance-related technology projects. This position will be responsible for the support, configuration, enhancement, testing, support, and training of the finance-related business systems, in particular Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and its ancillary systems. Position will be responsible for gathering, eliciting, documenting, and communicating business requirements in clear, detailed user stories or use cases, and translating into functional requirements. Additionally, the Finance Business Systems Analyst must ensure that IT solutions are developed, tested and implemented to satisfy business requirements. Further, this position requires a high degree of practical business knowledge, creativity, customer/end-user focus, and a team-oriented collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Oracle Fusion cloud ERP Financials and Projects (PPM) configuration changes, manage customization, build OTBI reports, support interfaces and conduct unit testing and user training.
- Functional flows - financial record to report, subledgers to general ledger, period-end, reconciliations, procure to pay, order to cash.
- Support Oracle cloud financial, Projects, and Procurement Modules
- Assist in key system processes (i.e. process of month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes)
- Drive best practices for the Oracle ERP modules to be audit and SOX compliant
- Defines and executes test scripts and test scenarios.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement in operational performance and notifies management of issues and problems requiring immediate attention.
- Works cross-functionally in analyzing, designing, and developing business solutions.
- Provides analytical support for multiple projects simultaneously, establishes work plans and timelines, coordinates with internal and external resources.
- Effectively analyze, scope, and prioritize product backlog with managed service providers
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, Computer Science, Math or other related fields or equivalent job experience
- Oracle ERP Cloud experience in multiple modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, Procurement, Projects, Expenses, Enterprise Contracts and Financial Consolidation
- Minimum 8 years of experience in implementing and supporting Oracle ERP. At least 4 years should be from Oracle Cloud SaaS
- 3 years business analysis experience, gathering requirements and documenting process flows for business applications, in particular the finance/accounting aspects of ERP systems
- Excellent functional knowledge and hands-on experience on Oracle PPM cloud offerings such as Project Costing, Project Billing and Project Control
- Skilled in requirements gathering and documenting techniques including user requirement functional definitions, process flows, and business gap analysis
- Strong problem solver that is proactive and customer-focused when delivering and supporting IT solutions
- Proven ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
- Adept at writing running SQL queries and other similar commands.
- Good to have Construction Industry experience
- Good to have some work experience in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FAW) and EPM FCCS, PBCS & ARCS
