Summary
Prepare and submit competitive grants for Community Youth Development. Monitor all subcontractors via on-site reviews, monthly meetings, and monthly reports. Ensure grant compliance for grant activities regulated by Tarrant County and Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Coordinates Community Youth Development Program with staff officers in the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services
2. Monitors program for fiscal and program compliance
3. Ensures the subcontractors remain in compliance with contract terms and requirements
4. Ensures required timelines are met
5. Supports and advise the 76106 Community Youth Development Steering Committee, Volunteer Board, & Youth Action Committee (YAC)
6. Ensures technical assistance for subcontractors
7. Assists the Tarrant County Audit staff with fiscal reviews
8. Promotes timely invoicing and reimbursements
9. Ensures execution of project monitoring, technical assessment, and feedback to subcontractors
10. Ensures completion of monthly program reports required by TDPRS
11. Supervises the Community Youth Development Contract Monitor and Administrative Assistant
12. Coordinates related projects as assigned by the Director of the Public Health Department
13. Acts as the liaison between Texas Department of Family & Protective Services, Tarrant County, Steering Committee, YAC and subcontractors
14. Prepares and submits grant applications, contracts, budgets, and any related items for CYD program
15. Performs all other related duties involved in the operation of the Public Health Department as assigned or required
Minimum Requirements
- To apply, must have a Bachelor’s degree minimum of three (3) full-time years of relevant work experience. Background in Accounting and Finance, Technical Writing, Community Youth Development or Juvenile Services or related experience preferred. Management and supervisory experience preferred
- To apply, must possess a valid Driver License, automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
- Grant preparation and administration background. Computer experience (i.e., Excel, Word, mainframe, account financial systems preferred). Ten- (10) key by touch.
