The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations. This position reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Receives raw materials and / or components into the warehouse by unloading trucks, using a crane, forklift, pallet-jack, electric pallet-jack, or by hand.
Ensures shipments received are in good condition and accurate by inspecting freight for damage, signing freight bills, verifying quantity ordered versus quantity received, completing necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.
Keeps accurate stock records and paperwork up-to-date along with entering stock / inventory data into the Warehouse Management System.
Stores goods appropriately. Replenishes stock (put-a-way) by utilizing material handling equipment, or by hand. Replenishments of stock may include re-stocking of picking stock, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, storing pallets in racks, checking for product mixing, and rotating product where needed.
Ensures the accuracy of inventory by participating in system directed or user directed cycle counts. This is accomplished by the manual count of selected inventory items. Discrepancies are verified and correct counts are inputted into the RF Warehouse Management System. Carry out stock counts when required.
Receives and logs into the system, product from outside suppliers and repair items. Delivers repair items to the repair department in a very timely manner.
Maintains a safe work environment, following warehouse safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area where cardboard, paper, and plastic debris are disposed of properly.
Ensures that all lifting and maneuvering, including the operation of cranes, forklifts, pallet-jacks, electric pallet-jacks is carried out in accordance with handling procedures.
Complies with all Company Safety Policies including health and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others, the use of proper PPE and good housekeeping practices.
Handles any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner.
Resolves problems or issues by working cooperatively and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
Other responsibilities as needed / directed by supervisor(s) from the plant.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES :
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Forklift Operator and / or Crane Operator experience preferred.
Working knowledge of and ability to operate a computer and applicable software.
Ability to work alone and with others in a team environment with minimum supervision, and work on several tasks at the same time with frequent interruptions.
Previous warehouse experience and knowledge of MRP / ERP in a manufacturing environment highly desirable.
Ability to be organized with materials, files and to work with others in a team-based environment.
Positive attitude with good relationship skills involving clients, carriers, and coworkers.
Willingness to comply with applicable laws and regulations, TFT Handbook and other Company policies and procedures.
Able to perform routine tasks and deliverables with minimal supervision.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with other company personnel, including being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities, and disabilities.
Ability to work regular work hours assigned and occasionally extended hours.
