Warehouse Material Handler

Tate Ornamental, Inc. is a family owned and operated company that has been in business since 1988. We pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop for design, fabrication, installation, and freight. We specialize in creating distinguished works of art from our fabrication of architectural metal, millwork, and stone. Our projects include stairways, railings, canopies, millwork, casework, stone and quartz. Ornamental metals include steel cold and hot roll, bronze/brass, stainless steel and aluminum.

We are seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to join the team in our Millwork Division. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Receives sheet goods/lumber, labels, and stages to respective project
• Cross references shipping tickets to PO’s to ensure correct material has been delivered
• Keeps sheet goods warehouse lumber warehouse organized
• Maintains stock material minimums and inform Inventory Clerk when more needs be ordered
• Keeps a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
• Collaborates with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products
• Reallocates materials to projects per internal BOMs
• Conforms with state and company safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Access
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction materials and grades
• Organizational skills to organize and stage materials needed for projects
• Math skills to calculate board footage
• Comprehensive knowledge of lumber species and cuts
• Ability to work well with others on a team

Education and Experience:

• Forklift certification, preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience, preferred.
• Carpentry/construction experience, required.
• Maintaining inventory experience, required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
