What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Officer position at Taylor Credit Union?

Responsibilities

Taylor Credit Union is looking for a loan officer to receive, review, and process loan applications for members. If selected, you would be expected to process applications for consumer, real estate and business loans.

  • Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
  • Evaluate credit worthiness, employment, income and determine debt ratios
  • Communicate with members to request or provide information, and resolve their requests and questions
  • Inform members about Taylor Credit Union loan policies and services
  • Assess member needs, explore all options and introduce different types of loans
  • Actively cross-sell Taylor Credit Union products and services
  • Go the “extra mile” to build relationships, member loyalty and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process

Skills

  • Minimum 1 year work experience as a loan officer - preferred
  • Proficient with computers and banking applications/software
  • Solid understanding of lending products and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Member satisfaction orientation and sales competencies
  • Ability to work in a goal oriented environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) - encouraged

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
