Responsibilities
Taylor Credit Union is looking for a loan officer to receive, review, and process loan applications for members. If selected, you would be expected to process applications for consumer, real estate and business loans.
- Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
- Evaluate credit worthiness, employment, income and determine debt ratios
- Communicate with members to request or provide information, and resolve their requests and questions
- Inform members about Taylor Credit Union loan policies and services
- Assess member needs, explore all options and introduce different types of loans
- Actively cross-sell Taylor Credit Union products and services
- Go the “extra mile” to build relationships, member loyalty and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process
Skills
- Minimum 1 year work experience as a loan officer - preferred
- Proficient with computers and banking applications/software
- Solid understanding of lending products and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Member satisfaction orientation and sales competencies
- Ability to work in a goal oriented environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) - encouraged
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
