Executive Assistant, Chief Executive Officer

Location: Weston, Massachusetts (On-site, 5 days a week)

The Executive Assistant will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Committee, playing a vital role in managing company operations, advancing growth initiatives, and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. This highly visible role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills to support the CEO in driving Vanguard Renewables' vision and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the CEO to translate the company’s vision into actionable strategic priorities. Assist the Executive Committee and department heads in developing and executing quarterly, monthly, and yearly plans.
  • Ensure all initiatives and projects align with the company’s long-term goals, track progress, and provide updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide data-driven decision-making support to the CEO and Executive Committee through research, analysis, and presentation preparation.
  • Coordinate logistics, materials, and scheduling for quarterly board meetings.
  • Serve as a sounding board for new ideas, offering insights to help inform critical business decisions.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional meetings, driving results, resolving roadblocks, and fostering clear communication across teams.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and mission-driven workplace environment aligned with company values.
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring transparent and consistent communication.
  • Represent the CEO in meetings, events, or engagements when required.
  • Manage the CEO’s calendar and prioritize high-impact activities, including coordination of Executive Committee meetings, agendas, and follow-up action items.
  • Filter and prioritize incoming requests, preparing the CEO for all engagements and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the CEO and organizational priorities.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of experience in leadership, strategy, or similar roles.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive results in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and high emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Capable of thriving under pressure, prioritizing competing demands, and meeting tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Senior Executive Assistant, or in a similar capacity.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
  • Familiarity with the renewable energy, waste management, or sustainability industries.
