Primary Responsibilities:

  • Promotes Transparency, Team-Work, and Trauma-Informed Care as the guiding principles of professional conduct.
  • Responsible for researching, designing and implementing educational presentations, workshops, and training sessions for various audiences, such as schools, community organizations, professionals, and the general public. Have a thorough understanding of dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault and able to effectively communicate this information to diverse audiences in an age appropriate manner.
  • Plays a crucial role with the Coordinator/Team in raising knowledge about domestic violence and sexual assault by organizing public awareness campaigns, participating in community events, utilizing various media platforms.
  • Works collaboratively with the Coordinator and other organizations, community leaders, and stakeholders to develop and strengthen partnerships that promote intervention and support services. This may include participating in coalitions, task forces and committees related to violence prevention.
  • Creates and maintains educational materials, resource guides, and online content related domestic violence and sexual assault that adheres to the Ohio Revised Code, Erins Law, the Ohio Department of Education guidelines, and supervision approval.
  • Adheres to the OAESV Core Standards, attends trainings and coalition meetings pertaining to the education and advocacy services.
  • Maintains accurate, complete records of programs and projects (including program sign-in sheets and completed participant pre/posttest evaluations) and provides the Coordinator with monthly status reports in compliance to agency standards and measures.
  • Maintains up-to-date and accurate calendar of events including all scheduled education sessions, special projects, etc. and communicate to agency and appropriate community partners as necessary to maximize attendance
  • Works with Coordinator to create a comprehensive annual prevention event calendar highlighting community advocacy and prevention activities as necessary
  • Outreach to at-risk clients and linkage to the appropriate services as needed.

Work Location and Standard Work Hours:

Bellefontaine, OH

Full-time

Standard office hours: no weekends required.

  • Education: Associate Degree or higher in Education/Social Service Field or other related field
  • Experience: 1 year working in a child/teen field or related work experience
  • Certification: First Aid; CPR; De-escalation; Medication Monitoring.
  • Other: Valid Ohio drivers license; proof of automobile liability insurance; access to an operational vehicle; meets
