Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Documentation: Complete all required inspection forms and FAA Form 337’s. Maintain and process records through the Inspection Department.
- Conformance Checking: Ensure conformity with approved drawings, technical data, and specifications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with FAA regulations and technical data for work assigned, ensuring compliance in all tasks.
- Collaborate with Chief Inspector: Assist the Chief Inspector in completing duties, advise on unairworthy conditions, or procedures that deviate from the Repair Station Manual and the Quality Control System and Procedures Manual.
- Parts Management: Verify that all parts received from stock have a proper maintenance release tag. Ensure shelf-life materials are within acceptable dates.
- Calibration: Ensure calibration of all inspection aids and test equipment is up to date.
- Safety Compliance: Familiarize yourself with and adhere to the Repair Station Manual and ensure all safety precautions are followed to prevent accidents or injuries in work areas. Report unsafe conditions to the Shop Manager immediately.
Required Skills:
- Avionics and Electrical Systems: Strong working knowledge of aircraft avionics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting procedures.
- FAA Regulations: In-depth knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), particularly as they pertain to avionics and aircraft maintenance.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve avionics-related issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members, management, and customers.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to quality, precision, and documentation in all tasks.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands/arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds or more.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of work-related experience in avionics systems.
- Technical Expertise: Experience in avionics installation, repair, system checkout, and FAR 91.411/.413 testing.
- Familiarity: Basic understanding of avionics systems such as VHF Comm, GPS, VOR, ILS, DME, transponder, autopilot systems, pitot-static systems (including RVSM re-certifications), aircraft batteries, and cabin entertainment systems.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Avionics Development: Experience with avionics system development is preferred.
- FAA Repairman Certificate: Prior issuance of an FAA Repairman Certificate with an avionics repair station is a plus.
- FCC License: An FCC license is a plus.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
