Role Title: Property Accountant
Work Location: Needham Heights, MA 02494
Job Type: Full-Time Equivalent / Direct Hire

Job Distraction:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly financial packages
- Reconcile property taxes
- Post bad debt journal entries per property manager’s report
- Process monthly management fees
- Assist management with year end audit / tax prep
- Assist management with special projects and other tasks assigned
- Challenges and stream-lines functional tasks for maximum efficiency
- Provides support and back-up assistance to other accounting team members, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field
- 2 years of general accounting experience; experience in real estate property accounting is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
- Experience with Yardi or other real estate accounting software is a plus.
