Job Description:
The Community Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with the women enrolled in the Teddy Bear Den, the volunteers and community resources in Sioux Falls. The coordinator will develop outreach strategies and ensure the organization's resources reach the intended populations. This position plays a key role in ensuring that the volunteer program supports the organization’s mission, fosters community engagement, and maximizes the impact of volunteers’ contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with community members and increase awareness of the organization’s programs and services.
· Build and maintain relationships with participants enrolled in the Den and community partners.
· Organize and coordinate workshops, and informational sessions for the women enrolled in the Den.
· Distribute outreach materials (e.g., flyers, brochures, etc.).
· Track and report on outreach activities, including attendance, engagement, and outcomes.
· Identify new opportunities for partnership and collaboration within the community.
· Recruit, train and manage volunteers for the daily operation of the Teddy Bear Den.
Qualifications:
· 2 years post-high school education.
· 2 years of experience in community outreach, public relations, or a similar role.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Experience in event planning and project management is preferred.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse community members.
· Passion for the organization’s mission and commitment to making a difference in the community.
Skills:
· Bilingual skills are a plus.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
