Tax Preparer – Temporary or Permanent Hire

Location : Phoenix, AZ

Employment Type : Temporary (Seasonal) or Direct Hire

Pay Range : $30 – $50 / hr (based on experience for temp)

Salary : Competitive, negotiable (depending on experience for permanent hire)

About the Role :

We are seeking a Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season, with both temporary and permanent opportunities available. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing individual and business tax returns and be comfortable working with tax software and compliance regulations. This role offers a competitive pay structure for temporary hires and the potential for direct hire placement for the right candidate.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and file individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently

Review financial statements and supporting documents for tax preparation

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws

Identify potential tax credits and deductions for clients

Provide excellent client service and address tax-related inquiries

Stay updated on changing tax laws and compliance requirements

Qualifications :

Experience with individual and / or business tax preparation

Strong knowledge of tax laws, deductions, and credits

Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, UltraTax, Drake, ProSeries, etc.)

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple tax returns and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
