Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for students aged 18 months - 2 years old , focusing their social, emotional, and educational development. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering a love for learning while ensuring the safety and well-being of each child in the classroom.
Salary is $22.00 - $25.00/hr commiserate with experience and education.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of each individual child’s needs, goals and a commitment to seeing and supporting each child
- Observe children’s interests and create environments that are responsive to those interests
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met throughout the day.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's development and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 ECE units, including 3 Infant/Toddler units
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Flexible, supportive, and participatory member of the community
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- A nurturing attitude with a genuine love for educating young children.
