Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is Hiring a Manager - MRI Near Nashville, TN

Description

RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Ancillary Services Officer

JOB SUMMARY: Demonstrates a broad encompassing knowledge and expertise in imaging center operations including process review and development, staffing and staff management, protocol development, accreditation procurement, CON procurement, equipment review and selection as well as monitoring statistics and financials. Serve as liaison between department, administration, physicians, and radiologist. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staffing and Supervisory 

  • Recommendations for Processes and process improvement.
  • Working with IT or other ancillary services on Special Projects to improve care and overall flow of patients, etc.
  • Partner with CASO for change.
  • Recommendations for quality measurements and observe and/or report to CASO regarding overall performance of the MRI department and services.
  • Determine appropriate staffing levels and adjust staffing levels dependent on current needs and financial soundness and control overtime.
  • Supervise clinical and clerical supervisor including performance evaluation, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Train and assist in staff training. Fill in during absences as needed.
  • Conduct in-services for new procedures and MRI safety.
  • Maintain records of all personnel credentials.
  • Interview and hire staff.
  • Address PA and Physician complaints and resolve problems.

Credentialing

  • Complete applications and maintain ACR and Insurance accreditation.
  • Set QA limits and monitor QA logs.
  • Maintain records of staff credentials and CEU information including primary source verification.
  • Maintain records of radiologist credentials and licensing including primary source verification.
  • Maintain records of medical physicist credentials and licenses including primary source verification.
  • Maintain radiologist peer review reports.
  • Assist Medical Physicist in performing annual physicist’s testing.
  • Perform OIG audits on all personnel, radiologists, and medical physicist.
  • Assist with ACR and CMS audits.

Statistical and Financial

  • Record and report site volume.
  • Record and report MRI referral data.
  • Review and approve all contract invoices.
  • Review financial statements.
  • Assist with budget development and adherence to budget.
  • Monitor missing ticket report and correct as needed.
  • Review and correct denials for re-submission.
  • Order supplies and control inventory.
  • Monitor TOS collections.
  • Approve variances in patient collections.

PM and Servicing

  • Schedule PM adhering to contract
  • Adjust schedule to maintain uptime.
  • Keep machine maintenance records.
  • Set up service appointments for equipment issues.
  • Know basic MRI servicing issues and how to maintain equipment.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associates degree or certification from an approved Radiology Program required. 
  • ARRT board certification in Radiology or MRI. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of MRI experience.
  • Supervisory experience.

 TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work may require standing and sitting for long periods of time, and stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Employee will occasionally be asked to lift files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Position requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, a computer, telephone, photocopier, and such other office equipment as necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. Position also requires viewing computer screens and typing for long periods of time and working in an environment which can be very stressful.
