Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in relevant field – Certified Family Support Specialist (CFSS) preferred. Family member or caregiver of child with mental health diagnosis. Personal experience with children’s mental health issues and in navigating child-serving systems, with minimum of 2 years related experience. Non-profit organization experience and work history within child serving systems preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail, required.
Duties & Responsibilities/Principal Activities:
- Perform administrative duties related to paperwork and documentation for all housing programs and grants, ensuring full compliance related to housing.
- Assists assigned families in securing both formal & informal supports to meet the family’s needs.
- Assists families/caregivers to develop attainable goals that help the child function better in the home, school and community through promoting and modeling system of care.
- Monitors the progress of the Service Plan as the primary contact person for completion of tasks.
- Ensure that we conform to CARF standards applicable to the services provided.
- Other duties and/or tasks as assigned.
- Track key performance metrics monthly.
- Marketing to and recruitment of training participants and volunteers- giving special attention to participant needs and superb customer service to participants through all events.
- Securing and managing training logistics, including event space within the school systems and working alongside school administration to provide training.
- Coordinating with School Districts to ensure families enrolled in the program are aware of and attend available parenting training as appropriate.
- Utilizing social media and other marketing strategies to engage and recruit trainees as appropriate.
- Responding to communications and training requests, including on-going communications, project-based communications, and upcoming events, as well as coordinating the responses to requests.
- Provide parenting training to families, in addition to other training provided by TN Voices. Train school staff in Youth Mental Health First Aid and CATCH My Breath in addition to any additional trainings needed.
- Work alongside KIMOCHIS trainer to schedule and assist with facilitation of KIMOCHIS training in school district.
- Work with school district to provide identified infrastructure updates, KIMOCHIS, Vape Sensor, etc identified as a need by the school district.
- Provide any additional trainings requested by school district that encompasses trauma-informed support for children, staff and families.
- Housing, maintaining, and updating the documentation and databases pertaining to training programs and participants.
