ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking an IT Asset Manager to oversee the lifecycle management of all IT assets within the organization. As IT Asset Manager, you will ensure efficient utilization, maintenance, and tracking of hardware and software assets, while adhering to compliance and security standards. You will also provide support to the finance team for expense identification, invoice processing, asset reconciliation, and budgeting.
Job Functions:

Asset Inventory Management:
- Develops and implements processes to maintain accurate inventory records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals.
- Conducts regular audits to verify the integrity of the asset database and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Ensures timely updates to the asset management system to reflect changes in asset status, ownership, location, and maintenance history.
- Develops and continually improve processes required for an effective IT Asset Management program.
- Defines asset tracking policies and establish audit processes to ensure data integrity.

Procurement and Acquisition:
- Collaborates with procurement and vendor management teams to identify and select reliable suppliers for IT assets.
- Evaluates and negotiates procurement contracts, licenses, and maintenance agreements to optimize costs and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Monitors and tracks asset deliveries, ensuring timely receipt and accurate documentation.
- Communicates budget impacts to business units for workstations, mobile devices, software, and renewals.
- Manages mobile device fleet of phones and mobile broadband including procurement, activations, line terminations and line troubleshooting with the carrier.
- Provides accounts payable support to the Finance team for IT expenses and capital purchases.

Asset Lifecycle Management:
- Develops and implements policies and procedures for the deployment, utilization, and retirement of IT assets.
- Coordinates with various teams to plan, schedule, and execute asset deployments and installations.
- Monitors asset performance, utilization, and maintenance, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Develops strategies for asset refresh cycles and technology upgrades, considering budget constraints and organizational needs.
- Provides Finance with changes to the IT asset portfolio to ensure correct asset allocation to business units.

Compliance and Security:
- Ensures compliance with software licensing agreements, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Oversees user account access for cloud-based software licenses and solutions managed by IT including creating new user accounts, assigning licenses, and revoking access.
- Conducts periodic assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with IT assets.

Asset Analysis:
- Analyzes data trends and patterns to identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Provides recommendations and insights to management based on data-driven analysis.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or combination of experience and education
- 5-7 years’ experience as an IT Asset Management Analyst, Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of IT asset management principles, practices, and methodologies
- Familiarity with software licensing models and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in using asset management tools and systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Professional certifications in IT asset management (e.g., IAITAM, CSAM) are a plus
