Position Summary:

The Spare Helper is an entry level position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanics in performing repairs and maintenance on vehicles and equipment
• Clean and organize work areas and tools
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Learn and develop skills in various areas of mechanical work

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills to assist with diagnosing issues
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with mechanics and other team member.

Skills:

• English proficiency for effective communication with team members and customers
• Low voltage electrical skills for working on electrical systems in equipment
• Hydraulics knowledge for working on hydraulic systems in vehicles or equipment
• Field service experience for performing repairs on-site at customer locations
• Electrical skills for working on electrical systems in equipment (low voltage)
• High voltage electrical skills for working on high voltage systems in equipment (if applicable)
• Analytical skills to diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively
• Fabrication skills to assist with creating or modifying parts as needed
• Must be able to lift 60lbs.
• Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role.
• Ability to work well with coworkers as a team.
• Must be able to work in variable work conditions (hot, cold, noise, etc).
• We are willing to train the right candidates.

Education and Experience:

• 1 year of previous manufacturing or construction experience is preferred.
