Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, plan, conduct and coordinate experiments in support of various research projects
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques of routine research; keep detailed records of data.
- Use computers and laboratory or technical equipment to perform data analysis, statistical analysis, and technical evaluation of research experiments and results
- Summarize results for inclusion in scientific and clientele-oriented publications.
- Record, analyze and prepare scientific presentations and manuscripts for publication.
- Prepare and write reports to funding agencies.
- Supervise undergraduate and/or graduate students and other laboratory, technical or field staff involved in research.
- Install, operate and/or repair research equipment.

Qualifications
Education – Ph.D. in crop science, plant and soil science, plant pathology, or related field.
Experience – Two years of experience with horticultural crops and field production systems. Research experience in crop production areas such as plant physiology, plant pathology, or pest and disease management. Research experience in areas related to perennial fruit crops, citrus production, pest and disease management.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities- Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal/communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
