The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for leading a team to develop standards, tools, and governance for capturing, modeling, storing, and delivering enterprise data.
- Manage experienced professionals who have independence in assignments.
- Identify data-related business requirements and service standards, such as transaction processing speed, data mining and reporting capabilities, data security, and scalability.
- Develop to a high-level enterprise data model and conceptual views of related data sub-architectures such as database, data integration, data warehouse/business intelligence, reporting metadata, and content management architectures.
- Influence others outside their job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
- Designs structure, and layout of data systems, including databases, warehouses, and lakes.
- Designs and implements processes for the ETL processes from various sources into data systems.
- Translates high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards.
- Defines and manages standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality.
