The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
Budget management is critical to maintaining compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in processing financial transactions to support the people we serve in Self-Directed Services. By ensuring invoices align with budget sheets and regulatory requirements, budget review plays a key role in safeguarding financial accountability and supporting participant-centered services.
The Assistant Budget Review Manager will oversee the review and processing of self-directed budget sheets and related budget documentation to ensure regulatory and programmatic compliance for self-directed participants served by The Arc. The Assistant Budget Review Manager will work closely with the Budget Review Manager to ensure compliance with Self-Directed Services contracts and DDA regulations, serving as a liaison between the Budget Review and Financial Reporting teams to improve budget processes. They will coordinate knowledge transfer among program participants and team members to maintain program quality and adherence to State and Federal Waiver Guidelines. Additionally, the Assistant Budget Review Manager will perform quality assurance reviews, analyze trends in budget documentation submissions, and assist with quarterly audit data. The Assistant Budget Review Manager may also support special projects related to budgets, budget modifications, and financial reporting based on the needs of the department.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational skills, demonstrate a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, and have the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with a diverse range of stakeholders. They will excel at balancing attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture, ensuring compliance with State and Federal guidelines while fostering collaborative relationships to support participants’ success in a self-directed services model. Additionally, the candidate will have a commitment to ethical practices, a passion for supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and the adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Qualifications
This position requires a high school diploma or GED, with at least three years’ experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities; with at least one year providing case management and/or planning facilitation where your role interfaced with Medicaid Waiver requirements. A Bachelor’s degree and experience with Maryland DDA and self-direction is preferred. Salary : $62,000
