Job Description
Will practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in compliance with the COMAR regulations including the Nurse Practice Act and the Developmental Disabilities regulations. Will serve as the "Residential Services Nurse" for an assigned group of individuals.
This position is FT - Flexible Day, Afternoon, and Evening M-F and Every Other Weekend for approximately 40 hours per week.
Qualifications
Must be licensed to practice in Maryland. Will consider recently licensed LPN, but prefer someone with: clinical nursing experience or six months experience working as an LPN, and one year of working with developmental disabilities or a similar population. Must also be 21 years old or older, and have a valid driver’s license along with three (3) years of driving experience and good driving history. The successful candidate will also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, background check, pre-employ. screenings including drug screen. Position requires lifting, transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure persons served health and safety. 2 wks. paid specialized training (Held M-F 8:30 am – 5:00 pm), competitive benefits & tuition reimbursement offered.
