Location : The Village of Meyerland, an Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community
Pay Rate : $15 / hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise housekeeping staff and coordinate schedules to ensure proper cleaning of offices, public areas, residences, and common areas.
Plan and schedule cleaning programs, including annuals, move-in preparations, and window and carpet cleaning.
Monitor inventory levels, order necessary equipment and supplies, and ensure safe handling and storage.
Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning duties, including floors, restrooms, kitchens, resident laundry, and apartments.
Help with the make-ready of vacant apartments as assigned.
Strive to maintain a safe working environment, ensure staff follow all safety standards and applicable health codes, and promptly report safety and security incidents.
Ensure proper control of keys, equipment, supplies, inventory, and other property.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
Be an active member of the community's emergency response team.
Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
Perform duties of other housekeeping staff in the event of absenteeism and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
2-3 years of related experience; housekeeping experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Compassion for and desire to work with seniors.
Ability to implement cleaning programs, complete checklists, and maintain work records and reports.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to direct the work of others in a professional and compassionate manner.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
