Production Control Manager and Master of Scheduling

Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities:

   

  • Plan and Execute: Create and maintain detailed master production and material plans to drive Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and support Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Optimize Performance: Perform capacity analysis, time studies, labor performance analysis, and cost estimating to boost efficiency.
  • Manage Workflow: Review and analyze MRP requirements, release work orders daily, and adjust production jobs as necessary.
  • Coordinate Operations: Handle intercompany, external, and internal Work In Progress (WIP) and ensure smooth operations through action messages and PPOD queues.
  • Forecast Management: Monitor customer forecasts to allow adequate production time and adjust orders as needed.
  • Data Integrity: Clean up transactional data, close open work orders, and ensure accurate documentation of all transactions and issues.
  • Ensure Compliance: Monitor future work to ensure appropriate flow using the expedited report and complete Engineering Change Orders (ECO) as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to address WIP issues affecting customer requirements and attend meetings with accurate data.

   

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years in manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, master planning, or production control.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and MRP manufacturing software.
• Certifications: APICS - CPIM or CSCP training and certification strongly preferred. Experience with Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement tools and/or certifications is a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing preferred.
