Are you passionate about precision and problem-solving? At The Bernard Group, we are seeking a detail-oriented Fixture Packaging Planner to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. In this position, you’ll be responsible for developing, estimating, and procuring the materials necessary to ensure safe and cost-effective packaging solutions for Fixture Packaging projects. Working closely with engineered drawings and project specifications, you’ll manage every detail to ensure that fixtures arrive at their destination safely, on time, and within budget. Shift Available: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
A variety of these traits will help land you this job. If you have:
- a High school degree or GED equivalent.
- a Degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- 2 years experience in packaging design, planning, or a similar role in manufacturing or retail industries.
On top of that you must have:
- a solid understanding of retail fixtures and their unique packaging needs.
- knowledge of packaging standards and best practices.
- strong communication skills with a servant leadership mentality, fostering collaboration with individuals and teams.
- a self-starter mindset with the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
- proficiency in packaging design software and familiarity with various packaging materials, methods, and off-the-shelf options.
- knowledge of shipping and logistics requirements specific to retail fixtures.
- the ability to evaluate and improve packaging solutions for quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
In this position you’ll:
- design, coordinate and test packaging for retail fixtures
- be an active participant as needed in the labs process to be on the front end of Fixture projects
- create packaging designs, plans and estimates that meet the requirements for safe delivery of fixtures to the customer based on shipping method. This can be achieved through TBG software, outside vendors or standard off the shelf packaging options
- collaborate as needed with Project Management, production and outside vendors.
- partner with Internal Fixture Planners and Schedulers to ensure that all goods are planned, procured and delivered within the defined timeline and budget.
- analyze packaging solutions for quality, efficiency and overall effectiveness of protecting the fixtures being packed for continuous improvement opportunities
- perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.

- able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Have strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization.
- willing to sit or stand at a desk for an extended period of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer.
- able to apply manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer keyboarding and office equipment use and to review detailed reports and information.
- willing to move around the plant and office areas repeatedly throughout the day

Compensation Range: $62,000 - $72,000 annually
*Range reflects our good-faith assessment of our hiring range for this role based on market conditions, experience level, and internal equity considerations.
