Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and management of all banquet events. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires a keen understanding of food production, kitchen management, and event coordination to ensure that all aspects of the banquet service meet our high standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all banquet events, including menu selection, setup, and service.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menus that align with guest preferences.
- Manage inventory and ordering of food and beverage supplies while adhering to budget constraints.
- Train and mentor staff in food production techniques, bartending, and customer service excellence.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for efficient order processing and payment handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction throughout the event.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food management or kitchen management within a casual dining or banquet setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of food production processes, including cooking techniques and presentation standards.
- Familiarity with budgeting practices related to event planning and execution.
- Experience with bartending is a plus, as well as knowledge of beverage pairing with menu items.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
