Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a passion for marine technology. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing various marine vessels and equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to ensure our clients receive top-notch service.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on marine engines and systems.
- Assemble and install various components of marine vessels.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs.
- Solder electrical connections as needed for repairs or installations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of marine equipment to identify issues or areas for improvement.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with management regarding the vessel's needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Collaborate with other technicians and service personnel to complete projects efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or service technician in the marine industry is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Familiarity with using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools is highly desirable.
- Experience working with rigging systems is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Mercury Marine Certified a bonus
