What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Assistant position at The Brookwood Community?
The Brookwood Community is currently seeking candidates for a Work Program Assistant for their main campus in Brookshire, TX. This position will support the Work Program Supervisors in their efforts to engage and stimulate adults with intellectual disabilities to learn and develop work skills while assisting in accomplishing production goals; to provide individualized assistance to Citizens in their daily work routines, personal hygiene needs, mealtime activities, environmental supports and to utilize structured learning methodologies (TEACCH system). A Work Program assistant will use best practices whenever possible in the workshop environment and assist in helping to create a positive work environment that enhances the Citizens’ sense of independence and self-worth while adhering to Brookwood’s Policies and Procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.50 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
