What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Finance / CFO - Micro-Dyn (Brydon Portfolio Company) position at The Brydon Group?
Micro-Dyn is on a mission to simplify claims grouping, editing, pricing, and processing for stakeholders across the healthcare system. We are investor-backed (private equity), with opportunity for significant growth, including through acquisitions.
Micro-Dyn has a 30 year history of profitability and a strong reputation with our customers and in the market. The role of Head of Finance will be pivotal to the long-term growth and success of the business. The candidate will work directly with the President and Co-Chairman of the company, collaborating with the Executive Team, to spearhead all aspects of the Finance function. You will own strategic finance and planning, board meeting preparation, FP&A, accounts payable, and other finance-related operations. Initially, you will be a team of one supported by an outsourced accounting service and internal administrative/project management staff, with the opportunity to build out the finance function as we continue to scale.
Location:
Based in Wilmington, DE / the Greater Philadelphia area or the Greater Charlotte area. Open to hybrid and remote working models. Requires some travel.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in finance-related roles, including some experience in consulting or audit, investment banking, and/or private equity or in strategic finance at a high-growth investor-backed company
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics, to inform strategic planning
- Experience in software companies
- Undergraduate or equivalent degree required. Advanced degree preferred; CFA or equivalent will be a strong advantage
- Ability to work independently. Preference for those with experiencing building and leading a team
