Description
We are currently looking for a Full Time Medical Equipment Planner to join our Medical Equipment Planning Unit team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working .
Summary:
The purpose of this position is to facilitate the planning, procurement, and initial operation of medical equipment to ensure successful project completion for the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health. This position may require working on weekends and evenings in addition to normal hours.
- Prepares a room-by-room equipment budget
- Prepares documentation as required, including spec/cut sheets for AE’s and Contractors
- Conducts facility assessments on medical equipment to support planning function
- Completes existing equipment analysis to determine items for reuse in the project
- Provides documentation identifying equipment recommended as new, existing or leased
- Assembles and distributes the Architecturally Significant, Owner Furnished Equipment (AS/OFE) book as required by the project schedule
- Coordinates medical equipment placement on contract documents
- Reviews architectural drawing updates to ensure equipment location and rough-ins
- Manages system submittals of required vendors for incorporation into project drawings
- Obtains furniture and artwork specifications; coordinate bid packages and manage budget
- Participates in user group meetings as required for all phases of the project (Preliminary Concept, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Procurement & Equipment Management)
- Manages equipment budget at the levels approved
- Maintains a log for scope of work changes and conduct meeting to discuss when required
- Attends design team coordination meetings during all phases of the project and project meetings as required by the construction process
- Coordinates and participates in vendor presentations, vendor site visits and pricing negotiations
- Develops and provides analysis on RFP’s
- Finalizes a total equipment list and obtain sign-off to proceed
- Visits job site to confirm rough-in installation as required
- Coordinates storage and final installation of major medical equipment
- Provides final reports and equipment documentation at project completion and monthly updates to project status reports
- Initiates ordering process, develops planned delivery system, and assists in the delivery and placement of all equipment when project accepted
- Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made

- Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
