Job Purpose
The Executive Assistant to the Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for providing executive support to the Chief Medical Officer and will assist with a variety of administrative and operational tasks for the Medical Staff and Medical Services Department. This role also holds a supervisory role for the administrative assistants within the department. |

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) support including daily administrative tasks (schedule management, emails, phone calls, written correspondence), project support, relationship management, department budgeting and expense tracking, invoice approvals, policy management, administrative support for meetings |

Maintain compliance for medical staff credentialing including initial application, recertification, and maintaining all records to ensure medical staff is in good standing. Accurate record keeping within credentialing database. |

Supervisory duties for all Medical Services Administrative Assistants, including management of duties, work performance training, scheduling, professional development, and overall decision making |

Administrative Support and Oversight for Hospital Committees: Medical Executive Committee, Peer Review Committee, Utilization Review Committee, Medical Quality & Compliance Subboard Committee, Institutional Review Board (IRB), Medical & Outpatient Services Leadership Team |

Qualifications
Education: |
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. |
Experience: |
5 years of administrative experience supporting senior management. Previous management experience is preferred. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) are required. Communication skills, efficient time management, flexibility in day-to-day tasks, calendar and meeting management experience. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail. |
License/Certification/Credential: |
Professional Administrative Certification of Excellence (PACE) or Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) certification preferred |
