Front of House Staff

The Citrus Live, a new live entertainment venue in Downtown Edinburg in the historic Citrus Theater, is seeking a variety of enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our team in delivering exceptional service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our guests, contributing to the overall success of our establishment. These positions require a passion for customer service, a dedication to enhancing an experience, and a strong understanding of the hospitality industry.

1. Usher

Location: The Citrus Theater – Edinburg, TX
Job Type: Part-Time / Event-Based

Job Overview:

Ushers are responsible for guiding guests to their seats, assisting with accessibility needs, and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic in the theater. This role requires excellent customer service skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist guests upon arrival
• Scan tickets and direct patrons to their assigned seats
• Provide information about the venue and upcoming events
• Assist guests with special seating or accessibility requests
• Monitor the audience for safety and compliance with venue policies
• Help with crowd control before, during, and after events
• Maintain cleanliness in seating and lobby areas

Qualifications:

• Friendly, customer-focused attitude
• Ability to stand for long periods and navigate stairs
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in customer service or events preferred
• Bilingual preferred

2. Box Office / Ticketing Staff

Location: The Citrus Theater – Edinburg, TX
Job Type: Part-Time / Event-Based

Job Overview:

The Box Office Staff handles ticket sales, guest inquiries, and will-call services. This role requires attention to detail, customer service experience, and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Sell tickets in person and handle will-call pick-ups
• Scan and validate tickets upon entry
• Provide guests with event and venue information
• Handle card transactions accurately
• Assist in resolving ticketing issues or seating concerns

Qualifications:

• Experience in box office, retail, or customer service preferred
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable handling card transactions and operating a POS system
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual preferred

3. Guest Services / Concierge

Location: The Citrus Theater – Edinburg, TX
Job Type: Part-Time / Event-Based

Job Overview:

Guest Services staff ensure all visitors have a positive experience by assisting with directions, answering questions, and handling customer concerns.

Responsibilities:

• Provide information about the venue, events, and policies
• Assist VIP guests and special ticket holders
• Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns professionally
• Manage lost & found items
• Support ushers and other FOH staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Bilingual preferred

4. Bar Staff / Concessions

Location: The Citrus Theater – Edinburg, TX
Job Type: Part-Time / Event-Based

Job Overview:

Bar Staff and Concessions employees serve drinks, snacks, and handle transactions while ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws.

Responsibilities:

• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly
• Process transactions quickly and accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized bar/concessions area
• Check IDs and follow liquor regulations
• Restock supplies as needed

Qualifications:

• TABC certification required for bar staff (or willingness to obtain)
• Prior experience in food & beverage service preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Bilingual preferred

5. Merchandise Sales

Location: The Citrus Theater – Edinburg, TX
Job Type: Part-Time / Event-Based

Job Overview:

Merchandise Staff handle the setup and sales of artist or event-related merchandise, providing excellent customer service while tracking inventory.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain merchandise display
• Process card payments
• Keep track of inventory and sales
• Provide information about merchandise to guests

Qualifications:

• Prior retail or sales experience preferred
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Friendly and customer-oriented attitude
• Bilingual preferred

6. FOH Supervisor / Lead Staff

Location: The Citrus Theater – Edinburg, TX
Job Type: Part-Time / Event-Based

Job Overview:

The FOH Supervisor ensures all FOH staff operate efficiently, addressing any guest concerns and troubleshooting any issues that arise during events.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee ushers, ticketing, and guest services staff during events
• Handle escalated customer service issues
• Communicate with security, stage crew, and management to keep events running smoothly
• Ensure FOH areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in event management, hospitality, or customer service leadership
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
