- Supervise staff in a financial operations environment. The Controllermanages the following areas:Tuition and Fee Accounting, Non Tax Levy Accounting, Tax Levy and Non Tax Levy Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Non-Tax Levy Payroll and Bank Reconciliation
- Manage the staff responsible for accounting, reconciling, and reporting of the Executive & Global programs funds.
- Ensures compliance with all appropriate City, State, Federal and GAAP accounting, and regulatory policies.
- Oversight and support to staff handling Tax Levy and Non-Tax Ley Accounts Payables and Travel & Expense while working closely with the Purchasing Department, college staff and vendors.
- Responsible for compliance with University and New York State requirements related to vendor payments, credit card expenses and reimbursements for moving and travel related expenses
- Supervise the Cash Management operation.Maintain and manage banking relationships and providing guidance on treasury and banking matters. Working with other school/agency finance departments and manage the collection of Non-Tax Levy funds.
- Responsible for accounting and preparation of reports for monthly, semi-annual and year end close.
- Oversees the processing of the bi-weekly payroll using ADP. Responsible to provide timely non-tax levy payroll for faculty, staff and student employees while adhering to University guidelines and Federal and State regulations.
- Supervise the bank reconciliation process. Controller Office is responsible for the reconciliation of the bank accounts for the Controller’s Office, Student Service Accounting Office, and Baruch College Foundation.
- Experience working with internal and external auditors and other internal and external agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required.

- Oversees the accuracy and integrity of all financial statements, revenue projections and other reports as required
- Develops effective policies and procedures for fiscal operations, and incorporates University-wide policies and standards
- Performs related duties as assigned.
