Job Description:
Position Summary: The primary function of this position is to assist the Director of Nursing Services in development, organization and direction of all aspects of nursing services in compliance with all federal, state and local guidelines, to ensure that each resident receives quality/individualized care and services.
Education and Experience Requirements:
1. Graduate of an approved school of nursing and possess a current license as a Registered Nurse.
2. Minimum of two year's experience in a supervisory capacity in a health care setting.
Duties & Responsibilities: DON Assistant
1. Reviews compliance with established policies and procedures for all nursing personnel.
2. Interviews, hires, trains, orients and reviews competency of nursing personnel.
3. Assures adequate staffing is maintained and works floor/shift assignments as necessary.
4. Responsible for infection control and staff education.
