Salary Range: $19,000 - $42,000. The position on the scale will be based on years of teaching experience and education.

We are seeking a 8-10 week leave replacement from January – March 2025 for a full-time health educator position to provide instruction to students in the areas of health and wellness. This position reports to the Director of Health & Wellness and works in collaboration with administrative teams and faculty.
The Health Educator will provide instruction in areas of hygiene, nutrition, social/emotional learning, body autonomy and consent strategies, body awareness/anatomy, movement, and mindful awareness practices that cultivate students’ inner and outer resources and foster a lifetime of healthy living and holistic wellbeing. In addition, foster positive classroom environments through social-emotional work in the classroom.
In partnership with school psychologists and counselors, the Health Educator may help facilitate student groups, and provide individual support for students struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or related experience of 3 years of teaching health education preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, coordination, evaluation, and assessment skills
- Understanding of the social and emotional development of children
- Familiarity with progressive school curriculum and instruction
- Proven ability to connect joyfully with students and faculty
