Position Overview:
The Nurse Supervisor position is an important middle-management role that provides oversight for all Frontline staff engaged in direct patient care during all shifts. Responsibilities require knowledge of the facility, nursing and frontline staff policies and procedures, allowing independent judgment in their interpretation. The Nurse Supervisor duties include coverage of managerial duties during a nurse manager’s absence. Nurse Supervisors will precept, round, supervise and coach all frontline staff on shift, as well as support infection control, quality improvement and recruitment activities.

Full-Time, Night coverage (On-site)
Hours - 7pm - 3am ET, Monday through Friday
How Nurse Supervisors Empowers Recovery
- Assess patient care requirements on each unit, by making rounds.
- Provides meal coaching and support for patients and families, including participating in and completing meals as appropriate and as assigned- serving as super coach
- Develop and implement staffing plan for shift based on patient acuity, patient census and available staff; schedule all nursing and frontline shifts.
- Assist staff to provide a safe work environment for patient care. Consistently and independently follows established safety and infection control procedures. Intervenes in unsafe situations.
- Respond to emergency situations. Provide support to patients in crisis, including providing DBT skills coaching
- In collaboration with Human Resources, provide supervision, support and coaching to employees. Skills training for all staff, onboarding of new frontline staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current Licensure in state practicing or compact as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience (inpatient medical setting preferred)
- Previous Supervisor experience, preferred
- Experience in Eating Disorders, preferred
