Summary: The Facilities Manager is a 25-hours a week position. This person will regularly clean and maintain our buildings and grounds, perform and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs, and set-up and prepare the buildings and grounds for use by our parish ministries.

Responsibilities include:

· Supports our mission, ministry, staff (clergy and lay) and lay leaders in all interactions and favorably represents our ministries to the parish and the public,

· Reports to the Parish Administrator, under the oversight of the Rector (senior pastor).

· Works with the Vestry Liaison for Buildings and Grounds to plan and coordinate how to address the needs of the buildings and grounds.

· Regularly cleans our buildings, including bathrooms (daily and as needed), and kitchen, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, managing trash and recycling, and clearing courtyard walkways as needed,

· Maintenance includes basic plumbing, electrical, dry-wall, painting, and other repair work. Works with vendors, as approved, for more complex repairs and services, including obtaining estimates for services, parts, repairs, and supplies,

· Schedules necessary inspections and annual maintenance (boilers, fire systems and extinguishers, sprinkler system, appliances, grease pit, pest control, etc.),

· Prepares rooms as requested on the church calendar for ministry use. Setup and cleanup for all major church events (may include weekend or evening times),

· Maintains lighting, kitchen, and maintenance supplies, as approved,

· Coordinates and documents repairs and planned maintenance of building 's mechanical equipment, locks and security systems,

· Practices safety in all applications and follows authorized procedures for all purchases,

· Uses personal vehicle for short supply errands as needed.

Qualifications:

· Dependability, organization, trustworthiness, positive communication skills,

· Effective at cleaning, skilled in basic maintenance, painting, plumbing, electrical, and dry-wall work,

· Attention to detail, good at collaboration with others, able to self-organize and take initiative,

· Physically able to lift heavy objects such as tables and chairs, trash, and other items,

· Completes a criminal background check and training in Safeguarding God 's Children and Safeguarding God 's people (provided by the church);

· Minimum three professional references are required.

Pay and Hours

· Wages are $25 an hour for 25 hours a week for $32,500 with three week’s paid vacation.

· Typical work hours are on site, Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (4 hours) and Monday -Thursday, for a total of 21 hours within an 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. time frame. Occasionally works special services and events (funerals, etc.). Responds to emergency maintenance requests as needed. Flexibility is important,
