The Expo Group is seeking a Field Operations Supervisor to join our team. Based in Irving, Texas or Orlando, Florida, this role involves supervising temporary labor teams, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth execution of event production both on-site and in warehouse or office environments. Extensive travel across the U.S., often for extended periods, is required.
In this role, you will:
- Supervise, train, and guide temporary staff to meet project goals.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily, short-term, and long-term field operations.
- Collaborate with union representatives, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Evaluate labor, equipment, and materials needed for efficient project completion.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry and reporting.
- Support warehouse or office functions when not on-site.
- Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and standards.
- Communicate progress, delays, and any issues promptly to managers and clients.
- Educational Foundation: High school diploma required; an associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years in logistics or trade shows, particularly in warehouse or show-site environments.
- Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus (can be obtained after hire).
- Leadership and teamwork abilities with a focus on conflict resolution.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and deadline management skills.
- Effective communication tailored to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn proprietary software.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and dependable.
